"Mandigo": Boscoe's maternal great grandsire

Mandigo, bred by Dr. & Mrs. Bernard Ziessow and owned by Laurell Hand, was one of the most influential dogs in recent history of the breed and truly a multi-purpose Labrador. In the show/conformation arena, he attained his American, Canadian, Mexican and International champion titles, and 1978 World Champion title as well as Best in Specialty Show wins. He earned his obedience title and the advanced working certificate excellent in the field, proving his intelligence, hunting ability and trainability. He was a top producer of show champions and performance dogs, including his famous son BIS Ch. Charisma's Lone Star Rick, the top winning Lab in breed history (with 13 Best In Show wins).  A spectacular Labrador Retriever!  (By Jenny Mitchell)

BIS Amer, Can. Ch. Monarch's Black Arrogance, CD, WC: Boscoe's paternal great-great-gradsire

"Gunner" was one of the most influential dogs in recent history of the breed, with many of our best dogs today going back to him.  He was a good example of the perfect all-round Labrador, with multiple Best In Show wins, obedience title and working certificate in the field, and many champion get ... proving that he could do it all.  And I consider his one of the cleanest bloodlines around as far as genetic issues.  Just wish I could have met him in person. CH Shamrock Acres Light Brigade

BIS CH Shamrock Acres Light Brigade ("Briggs"): Boscoe's maternal great-great grandsire

Briggs was bred and owned by Sally McArthy and co-owned by Mrs. James Getz. Briggs held the record for the greatest number of Best in Show wins achieved by a Labrador for nearly thirty-five years, twelve in all. His show career was brief, and lasted approximately one year.
CH Shamrock Acres Light BrigadeBriggs sired 93 champions, a record held for approximately thirty-five years, as the top sire in breed history. His contribution to show pedigrees is still profoundly evident in today's show lines. For instance, the greater pedigree of CH Franklin's Pickpocket for Kerrybrook MH ("Pete"), ((Brooke's gransire)) traces back to Briggs at least ten times!
Of the 93 champions Briggs produced, the dam of sixteen was CH Franklin's Tally of Burywood. The Tally / Briggs combination produced the most champion get among the various breedings that Briggs sired. (By Chris Wincek)

"Briggs", completed his championship with three majors by 13 months of age. He was the top winning Lab in breed history with 12 Best In Show wins until the record was broken by his grandson, Ch. Charisma's Lone Star Rick. Briggs took BIS at the 1968 International Kennel Club, and accumulated 45 Group firsts, 12 Group seconds, 9 Group thirds and 7 Group fourths all during a 14-month period in 1967-68. He was the Top Sporting Dog in 1958 (Phillips system). Briggs sired 94 champions including two BIS winners and lives on in many of our quality pedigrees. (By Jenny Mitchell)
